Overwatch League team Seoul Dynasty recently announced a fanmeet and friendly exhbition match with the Guangzhou Charge, and it has been met by a largely negative response from its fanbase. 

Seoul Dynasty fan and translator Swingchip explained the reasoning behind the outcry in a Twitter thread.

Allegedly, last year's event was met with a lot of feedback from fans regarding steep ticket prices. Fans were not allowed to take any photos, as an official photographer was to be taking photos that would be released shortly after the event, but according to the thread, the photos were never released. 

Fans are also frustrated at public relations leading up to the event. At the time of the thread, no links to the ticketing site had been released, and fans described answers to questions regarding potential fanmeets as "cryptic."

The ticket pricing is separated in four tiers: the 30,000 won Gold Package; the 50,000 won Diamond Package; the 100,000 won Grandmaster Package, and the 200,000 won Dynasty Package. Comparitively, tickets to OGN APEX and Overwatch Contenders Korea are 5,000 won. The Gold and Diamond Packages do not include access to the fanmeet with the Seoul Dynasty. Mysteriously, all ticket packages include a "spa pass" without further explanation. 

The event will take place on December 29 and will be in Incheon, South Korea for the second year in a row. In addition to the fanmeet and friendly match, there will also be a performance by South Korean alternative hip-hop group Epik High. Some frustrated fans point to the inclusion of the notable artist as a potential reason for the ticket pricing.

All ticketholders will be able to watch Seoul Dynasty in action in a friendly match against Guangzhou Charge. However, South Korean fans are not particularly happy about the selection of the opponent. Charge DPS Lee "Happy" Jung-woo has already come under fire for his past history of boosting, and Support Kim "Shu" Jin-seo was accused in the past, as well. 

Since its inception as Lunatic Hai, Seoul Dynasty has never signed a player with a history of boosting. Main Tank Baek "Fissure" Chan-hyung has been vocal about boosting in the past, and cited Seoul Dynasty's clean history as a main reason for him joining the team for Season 2. 

Seoul Dynasty fans claim that the event is not at all what was asked for, and according to Swingchip, feel unheard in regards to feedback from the previous year's event. Fans have started trending the hashtag #Boycott_Seoul_Dynasty_Fanmeeting on Twitter in protest to voice their displeasure towards the event.
