On the 20th of November, Cloud9 has announced that Jensen, former starting mid laner, will be leaving Cloud9 and be signed to Team Liquid.
Jensen has been a part of the C9 organization for almost 3 full years. Achieving quarterfinals and semifinals for C9 in 2016 and 2018, it is safe to say Jensen was a vital component in Cloud9's history. Despite this, 2018 was a rough year for Jensen. With Reapered implementing changes to the roster and Jensen moving to the Academy team, the start of the season was not as smooth as anyone wanted it to be. Regardless, Jensen proved time and time again in how significant of an individual and team-oriented player he is.
Leaving C9, Jensen made the following statement on Cloud9's official website, "Cloud9 and namely Jack have been no less than family to me over the past years, but I am writing this statement to let you know that from now on, I will be playing for Team Liquid." Jensen further explains his reasoning for the change, "I am changing things because I feel that will give me the best chance of achieving my goal, to become the very best version of myself."
Jack Etienne, Cloud9 CEO & Owner, also said a few words... "Jensen is family to everyone here at the organization and to say we’re grateful for what he has helped us achieve feels too underwhelming. This house won’t be the same, this team won’t be the same, but he knows he has lifelong friends and family here for him and it has been a gift getting to work with him. We wish him nothing but the best and eagerly await our paths crossing once more."
Jensen will be joining Team Liquid for the upcoming year in the NA LCS.
