In the preamble to the Opening Ceremony at BlizzCon 2018, the game director of Bungie, Steve Cotton, announced that Destiny 2 will be free for all Battle.net players through November 18th. Initially, the Opening Ceremony crowd live at BlizzCon booed Steve Cotton, but the atmosphere of the room did a complete 180 following the announcement.
Players can claim their version of Destiny 2 now through November 18th. After November 18th, players who claimed their free version of the game will be able to keep it forever.
Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and Activision. It is available to play on Battle.net, the computer launch app which houses all of Blizzard's and Activision's games.
