At PAX Australia, an international gaming exhibition in Melbourne, Australia held from October 26th to 28th, Smilegate Entertainment revealed their new VR game called ROGAN: The Thief in the Castle, at the HTC VIVE Free Playzone booth.

ROGAN is a stealth action and adventure VR game set in the medieval era. In the game, you play as a character named Rogan the thief and resolve various cases in the Castle Blackstone. The title mainly features a solid storyline written by a professional novelist, a beautifully detailed medieval castle, and 3D sound providing that fully immerses the player in the world.

Moreover, the game allows a player to enjoy it in several creative ways with various abilities the main character possesses as a thief; pickpocketing, hiding behind objects, dispersing guards’ attention with in-game tools.

Unlike existing adventure VR games which are mostly one-offs, ROGAN provides different levels of difficulty as well as replayable content; the whole story can only be revealed when the game is played multiple times.

ROGAN is under development for various VR platforms including VIVE and Oculus Rift. The expected release date is around the first half of 2019.
