On the 21st to the 22nd of September, Harrisburg University (HU) is hosting the largest collegiate Esports tournament to date.
HU is inviting anyone who is interested in collegiate competitive Esports. In the competition, there will be 32 teams and 21 schools participating. 16 teams for League of Legends and 16 teams for Overwatch. At the end of the road, a $50,000 prize pool. Come see some of the top players in college esports at the Harrisburg University Esports (HUE) Festival in Harrisburg, PA on Sept. 21-22.
Athletes will be traveling from schools across the country, including some Big Ten Universities (list of school shown below), to compete in League of Legends and Overwatch competitions. Many of these athletes will be the next big names in professional esports.
This two-day tournament will match up 32 college esports teams in pool play elimination rounds on Friday and Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals on Saturday. Games will be played in front of live audiences at Harrisburg University’s state-of-the-art arena and a theater outfitted specifically for this event. Games will also be streamed on Twitch to audiences around the globe. There will also be live music performances at the main stage for the inauguration. These performers include Lit, Alien Ant Farm, Atlas Genius, EDM DJ Whipped Cream, and many more. In addition, professional esports shoutcasters and analysts will be in attendance throughout the Tournament.
General admission will be free for Saturday only. Other venues such as the finals for both League and Overwatch will require tickets for entry.
