The new enhancement system which was teased by an update preview earlier this week has been added in Black Desert Online KR. The new enhancement system, called the Caphras Enhancement, will also replace the Cron Energy system. TRI or higher weapon/armor can get additional item effects using the Caphras Stone. You can add Caphras Stones to your gear, and when your gear has accumulated enough Caphras Energy, you can force enhance the gear to the next grade.
The Caphras Stones can either be looted, or can be crafted with 5 Ancient Spirit Powder and 1 Black Stone. (You can also put 50 Ancient Spirit Powder and 10 Black Stones at the same time to craft 10 Caphras Stones.) Ancient Spirit Powder is obtainable by grinding in the grind spots in Valencia or above, by underwater gathering, mining, and fluid collecting. Caphras Stones are also obtainable from the Narc Magic Sealing Stone Reward Bundle. The drop rate for Caphras Stone is higher in Red Wolf Village (in Drieghan), Aakman Temple, and Mirumok Ruins.
If you have the Caphras Stones, you can now add Caphras Energy to your gear. Each Stone will give a certain amount of exp, and the Caphras Energy Level will increase by 1 when the gear has 100% exp.
There are a total of 20 Levels of Caphras Energy. The gear will get additional stats (damage, HP, etc.) when the Caphras Energy Level increases. Once the Caphras Energy Level reaches 20, the gear can be Force Enhanced.
The amount of Caphras Stones required to increase one Caphras Energy Level is different depending on the gear and the enhancement level of the gear.
For a TRI: Dim Tree Spirit’s Armor, it takes 28 Caphras Stones to go from Caphras Level 0 to Caphras Level 1. TRI: Giath Helmet, TRI: Muskan Shoes, and TRI: Bheg Gloves need 24 Caphras Stones, and a TRI: Nouver needs 26 Caphras Stones. The amount increases greatly for TET Armor/Weapons. A TET Kzarka needs 156 Caphras Stones to go from 0 to Caphras Level 1, and a TET Dandelion needs 180 Caphras Stones to go from 0 to Caphras Level 1.
The required amount also increases as the Caphras Energy Level increases. For example, for a TET Dandelion, 180 Caphras Stones are needed to increase the Caphras Energy Level from 0 to 1. To increase the Level from 1 to 2, 300 Caphras Stones are required.
Things get a bit complicated when you try to enhance the gear with the regular enhancement. If the Enhancement Level drops due to an unsuccessful regular enhancement, only 50% of the Caphras exp will remain. If the Enhancement Level goes up due to a successful regular enhancement, 10% of the Caphras exp will be transferred to the next enhancement level. If you fail the regular enhancement using Cron Stones, 5% of the Cron Stones used will be transferred as Caphras exp.
The max marketplace price for the Caphras Stone is 1 million silver. According to the update preview on the Caphras Enhancement system, it will cost about 1.5 bil to 1.8 bil to enhance a TRI gear to TET, and it will take about 15 bil to 18 bil to enhance a TET gear to PEN. Based on the money prediction, more than 1500 Caphras Stones will be used when Force Enhancing TRI to TET, and more than 15000 Caphras Stones will be used when Force Enhancing TET to PEN.
You can get about 4 to 7 Caphras Stones per hour, including both looted ones and crafted ones, with the item drop scroll. You can only pre-order 10 Caphras Stones at a time, so getting PEN gear with the Caphras Enhancement will take some time and effort.

@Tash TRI and TET items that already had Cron Energy before this update now have the equivalent level of Caphras Energy. For example, a TET Dandelion that had Level 1 Cron Energy now has Level 1 Caphras Energy. But it works differently for PEN items. For PEN items, the Caphras Energy Level is 2x higher than the Cron Energy Level that the items used to have. For example, a PEN Dande that had Level 1 Cron now has Level 2 Caphras, and a PEN Dande that had Level 2 Cron now has Level 4 Caphras. The max level for Cron Energy is 4, so a PEN item with max Cron Level will have Level 8 Caphras. Hope this helps! -

How exactly does the 5% of the cron stones used getting transferred at caphras energy work? How many cron enhancement fails would you need before you could force the pen, for example?

Anyone has some numbers to put on that?-

Will the added AP from Caphras levels be visible on the sheet, thus counting towards the Adventure Rank/Power?
