Junyoung “Profit” Park from the London Spitfire, who went viral for his obscene gesture during the Overwatch League Week 3 Day 1 match, has been fined $1,000. He flipped-off his face-cam during the preparation phase of the match, while the camera was streaming and all the audience members could see what he was doing.

Jack Etienne, the CEO of the London Spitfire, answered to the penalty levied on Profit on his Twitter, “The league has fined Profit $1,000 for breaking a league rule regarding obscene gestures on camera. All parties understand these actions were not made in malice nor intended to be on broadcast, but the rules are clear. Spitfire will not be contesting the ruling.” It’s clear that he and his team will fully comply with the League’s decision.

Profit himself also posted an apology on his twitter about an incident and the penalty that followed: “I’d firstly like to sincerely apologize for what happened yesterday,” he said.

He then explained exactly what happened during that situation, “It was a joke gesture for the dugout members during a routine audio check after being subbed in for Map 2”. He also promised that such behavior will never occur next time, “I will take the time to deeply reflect upon what I say and do to make sure that nothing like this takes place again. I’m sorry for the fans that I have disappointed through my actions.”
