Sassy Chap Games has announced that Date Everything!, its dating simulator published by team17, has sold more than one million copies worldwide since it launched in June 2025.
According to a release, the studio will mark the milestone with a charity livestream for The Trevor Project and Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). It runs on November 18th from 6 to 9 PM PT, on the game's official Instagram, TikTok and Twitch channels.
Dating simulators (dating sims, for short) are story games built around getting to know characters, usually through dialogue choices that steer each relationship. Date Everything! adds a twist. The characters are everyday household objects; all of them can be romanced.
The game's cast runs to more than 100 voice actors, including Felicia Day, Johnny Yong Bosch and Matthew Mercer. It is available on Steam.

“This game succeeded far beyond our wildest dreams!” said Ray Chase, co-creator of Date Everything! and Chief Creative Officer of Sassy Chap Games. Chase added that seeing fan art, fan-fic and word of mouth ‘well over a year after release’ feels ‘like wind in our sails’.
Plans beyond the game
Sassy Chap Games is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The release says the studio is exploring ways to bring its worlds and characters into other areas of entertainment and products. New titles are in development too, with ‘ambitions beyond gaming’.
“We believe the next generation of beloved characters and worlds will come from creator-led games,” said COO Logan Burdick. Julie Thompson, Director of Development & Production, said there is ‘still so much’ the team wants to explore with Date Everything! (alongside new characters, stories and worlds).
Sassy Chap Games is a Los Angeles-based gaming and entertainment company founded by voice actors and game creators Robbie Daymond and Ray Chase, who lead it with Burdick. team17, founded in 1990, is part of everplay group plc. Its catalog of more than 150 titles includes DREDGE, Overcooked!, Hell Let Loose, Golf With Your Friends, Worms and The Escapists.
