Top Hat Studios and developer Skinny Frog have announced that Ova Magica, a farming sim crossed with a creature-collecting role-playing game (RPG), will launch on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on November 10th 2026.

According to a release, the console date was revealed during the Top Hat Studios Fall Showcase this past Monday. It comes after the game's full launch on Steam on May 28th 2026. Store pages are already up on the Nintendo eShop (with a separate Switch 2 listing), the PlayStation Store and the Xbox store. Console pricing was not given.

Creature collectors are games built around finding, raising and battling with a growing roster of monsters (Pokémon is the best-known example). Ova Magica's monsters are blobs: small, round creatures that hatch from eggs.

Players start a new life on an overgrown farm in the countryside. Blobs can be raised and bred, the release says; they help out around the farm, tag along on expeditions and fight in battles. The trailer shows crops, locals and breeding, plus trips to ‘magical worlds’.

Clover Town and beyond

Clover Town, the game's hub, has its own cast of characters with stories to uncover. Players can build friendships or pursue romance. Seasonal festivals mark the town's changes through the year.

Away from the farm, players can head into procedurally generated worlds (layouts built by the game rather than by hand) to look for new blobs, hidden treasure and rare rewards. The release pitches the whole thing as a story that is ‘yours to shape’.

Top Hat Studios, Inc. publishes indie games on PC and consoles. On its Steam page, Ova Magica is credited to developers ClaudiaTheDev and Skinny Frog.
