The newly revealed 'New Onigoya' clan is based in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo. Operating out of the dagashi shop 'New Onigoya,' the clan was formed by mountain oni from Niigata Prefecture who moved to Tokyo. Its members include shopkeeper Kitora Shizuku and twin sisters Kamikura Kotoha and Kamikura Tamaki from the Kamikura family, which has served the Kitora clan for generations.
Kitora Shizuku, shopkeeper of the dagashi shop New Onigoya, belongs to a clan of mountain oni from Niigata Prefecture. As the daughter of the prominent Kitora family, which has run a major sake brewery for generations, she was originally expected to inherit the family business. However, rebelling against her family's strict upbringing that clashed with her own values, she ran away from home. She then moved to Tokyo alongside her childhood friends Kotoha and Tamaki to open and run a dagashi shop. While she usually finds herself as the unfortunate victim swept up in the antics of the twin oni sisters, she has a violent side when pushed past her limits, using her superhuman strength to force Kotoha and Tamaki into silence.
Kamikura Kotoha, the second staff member of the dagashi shop New Onigoya, is the older twin sister of the Kamikura family that has served the Kitora house for generations. Thinking that 'working at an old-fashioned brewery is boring and dull,' she seized the moment when Shizuku ran away from home to follow her to Tokyo. Now in Tokyo, she is a dream-filled girl determined to become a famous influencer, always full of energy and quick to take action.
Kamikura Tamaki, the first staff member, is the younger twin sister of the Kamikura family that has served the Kitora house for generations. Although she had no particular complaints about the family business, she ended up following the other two to Tokyo on a whim—half out of concern for Shizuku and half to escape her older sister's relentless nagging. Upon arriving in Tokyo, however, she fell completely in love with the convenience of city life, enjoying Tokyo more than anyone else in the trio. She is especially fascinated by 24-hour convenience stores, something she never experienced growing up in her mountain village.
