Nexon announced on November 4 that it has rolled out the Season 5 'Dark Creed' mid-season update for the PC game Overwatch, which it operates in South Korea. The update concludes the year-long 'Vendetta' storyline while introducing five collaboration skins reinterpreting characters from Stellar Blade.
Developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch is running the 'Overwatch x EVE Protocol' collaboration for approximately two weeks until November 17. Following the 'Shadow Monarch' event, this marks the game's second collaboration with a South Korean gaming IP. Skins based on Stellar Blade characters EVE, Lily 03, Tachy, Adam, and Raven have been unveiled for Widowmaker, D.Va, Vendetta, Soldier: 76, and Freya, respectively, alongside collaborative cosmetic items.
The newly revealed event story, 'Reign,' concludes Talon's power struggle through a webtoon and motion comic. Former leader Doomfist, aided by the new hero Doctrine, confronts Vendetta, who had ousted him. As Overwatch joins the fray, Vendetta's reign comes to an end. The tie-in event will run until December 7, featuring a new Premium Event Pass. Players can progress through the pass by completing play missions to earn a new Legendary skin for Doomfist and a new Legendary weapon for Vendetta, among other rewards.
To commemorate the update, the 'Tiger Hunter Chase' event runs through November 25, following the previous Halloween event. Players earn 'Soulfire' points by logging in daily or playing for 60 minutes. By spending these points to light lamps in the 'Chase Log,' players can obtain cosmetic items including a Legendary Loot Box, the 'Tiger Hunter (Ashe)' skin, and profile cards themed after Irwol-obongdo (Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks) and ink wash paintings.
The domestic streamer tournament 'Runner League' featured a total prize pool of 20 million won. According to Nexon, peak concurrent viewers on Chzzk exceeded 100,000, while cumulative views surpassed 5 million. In the finals, Team Monkeys—comprising Head Coach Illusion and players Purin, DDDyong, Ggolrangi, Nambong, and Damyui—swept Team Op-Mu-Sin-Jo with a set score of 4-0. Team Monkeys claimed the championship after defeating the same team they had lost to in the semifinals, earning 10 million won in prize money and BenQ monitors.

The OWCS Asia Stage 3 Grand Finals will take place from November 20 to 22 at the Busan BEXCO Auditorium alongside G-STAR. This tournament will determine the final teams advancing to the OWCS World Finals.
