On October 31 (KST), LOS defeated Team Liquid Alienware in the Round 4 1-2 bracket match of the 2026 LoL World Championship, held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. With this victory, LOS set a new record for the longest survival by a CBLOL team at Worlds and will now challenge for a new milestone in the Quarterfinals. Meanwhile, LCS 1st seed Team Liquid suffered the disgrace of elimination from the Swiss Stage.
LOS claimed first blood in Game 1. Aggressive counter-jungling from Curse's Trundle led to a death for Quid (Lim Hyeon-seung)'s Sylas. Curse also executed a successful top gank to bolster the lane. Although Team Liquid secured a kill in the bottom lane through Sylas's roam, LOS came away with a greater advantage by securing a double kill in a 2v2 skirmish in the top lane.
LOS continued to score points behind Trundle, who had scaled like a laner. Team Liquid fought back by using Josedeodo's Nocturne ultimate to secure kills away from Trundle. However, they could not avoid objective teamfights, and their losses mounted. Ultimately, powered by a 7-kill, deathless performance from Trundle, LOS took Game 1.
In Game 2, Team Liquid focused heavily on the bottom lane to feed Yeon's Lucian. Although Lucian was caught out repeatedly in early-to-mid teamfights, allowing LOS to close the gap, Josedeodo's Xin Zhao and Morgan (Park Ru-han)'s Ornn grew increasingly durable as the game went on. LOS's dual-AP composition proved incapable of piercing through their frontline, while Dudu's Ezreal—the team's sole AD damage source—was unable to make plays due to the presence of Quid's Orianna. Securing the Elder Dragon as well, Team Liquid took Game 2.
The deciding Game 3. Curse's Pantheon seized control by landing impactful ganks in top and mid, rolling the snowball behind his global ultimate. Using the Rift Herald, LOS picked off Yeon's Flash-less Yunara and destroyed the mid outer tower. They later secured Baron and stacked three dragons, expanding their gold lead to over 7,000.
Team Liquid did not go down easily either. Despite the deficit, they exploited LOS's mistakes to deny dragon stacks and steal Baron, keeping their comeback hopes alive. As the game stretched into the ultra-late stage, only the Elder Dragon remained on the board. The decisiveness of Dudu's Kalista brought victory to LOS. Charging aggressively during a standoff to initiate the fight, LOS took down the frontline first and claimed a decisive teamfight victory. Thus, LOS emerged as the ultimate winner of the elimination match.
