Team Luminosity Gaming, which claimed to have prepared for the squad match only, proved themselves by winning on the last day.

The squad matches took place on the last day of BATTLEGROUNDS Gamescom Invitational (August 26th). Team Luminosity Gaming (LG) won in the 1st match, and Team Tier 3 Gaming in the 2nd, and Team Nobel won in the 3rd match. Team Luminosity Gaming was placed 1st based on the final rank points and won the 80,000$ prize.

■ The 1st Round - Team LG shows their potential in the Squads

The direction of the airplane was straight from 6 to 12 o’clock, from the map section P to D. Each teams set out to farm in the military base, Pochinki, and Rozhok, and the white circle was set in the eastern shelter.

DinghisKhan, Juankorea, YoonRoot, and Evermore from the Team 4entro started out together in Pochinki, and had their first battle against Team Cloud9, but the battle ended in a mere war of attrition with none of the team finishing each other off.

Later, they got their first kill when they caught Team Kung Fu Panda; YoonRoot also managed to finish off Team DeToNator with his grenade.

However, Juankorea got himself killed by Team Liquid, and DinghisKhan got killed on his motorcycle, and both YoonRoot and Evermore was cornered by both team in the end, placing their team 10th.

The team to win the 1st place was Luminosity Gaming; they mentioned that they have only prepared for the squads, displaying a great survival skill with 3 of them surviving to the last moment.

■ The 2nd Round - Team Tier 3 Gaming wins over Luminous Gaming

The direction of the airplane was straight from 6 to 12 o’clock, similar to the 1st match, and the white circle was set in the farm area.

Intense battles were expected at the military base since 4 teams including Luminosity Gaming and Kung Fu Panda, but surprisingly, each team continued to farm without any big fights.

Team 4entro started out in Pochinki again. The team must have felt the need for a vehicle in the 1st match because the first thing DinghisKhan did was get a Dacia first, then had his moved to the center of the white circle.

Later they engaged with Team NBL when they were climbing over a hill, with Evermore and YoonRoot eliminated first. Following was Juankorea, who was cornered alone, and then DinghisKhan eliminated when there were 30 survivors left.

Meanwhile, the white circle continued to shrink and both Team Tier 3 Gaming and Luminosity Gaming survived, competing with each other for the 1st place. This was when Team Solomid found Luminosity Gaming hiding inside a building, finishing them off, which let Tier 3 Gaming survive to the end and be placed 1st.

Team Luminosity was placed 1st with 936 points for the final squad score, and Tier 3 Gaming was placed 2nd with 4 points behind Team LG so far.

■ The 3rd Round - Team Nobel wins!

The direction of the airplane was from 11 to 5 o’clock this time. Each teams set out to farm in the military base, Pochinki, and Rozhok, and the white circle was set in the eastern shelter.

Team 4 entro split into 2 and set out to farm, then gathered around in the logging area. They were engaged with Team Mylta Motorsport while moving, but everyone on the team managed to survive until the 3rd white circle.

However, Juankorea was eliminated by Team Liquid while the team was moving to find a better spot. Later, teams started to move near and engage with each other when the white circle shrank for the 4th time, and Evermore and DinghisKhan was eliminated after intense combats. YoonRoot survived the longest, placing 10th in the survivor rank.

The last teams to survive to the end were Team Kung Fu Panda, Nobel, and Cloud9, although Team Nobel won in the end after they eliminated Kung Fu Panda and Cloud9.
