Psychological horror game MADiSON is being adapted into a feature film, with developer Bloodious Games teaming up with production company Story Kitchen.

The studio announced the partnership on X (formerly Twitter) on October 26th. "We're incredibly excited to finally share this!" the post read. "We've teamed up with Story Kitchen (Tomb Raider, Life is Strange, Sonic) to develop a feature film set in the world of MADiSON."

The post came with key art showing a bloodied hand gripping the game's instant camera, alongside both companies' logos. Bloodious Games did not name a director, cast, distributor or release window, and it has not said whether the film will follow the game's story or tell a new one set in the same world.

What is MADiSON?

MADiSON is a first-person psychological horror game developed and published by Bloodious Games. It launched on July 8th 2022 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, and its official site also lists MADiSON VR, a virtual reality version of the game.

Players take the role of Luca, who wakes up locked in a dark room with his hands covered in blood. According to the game's official site, he is tortured by MADiSON, a demon that forces him to continue a gory ritual started decades ago. The main tool is an instant camera, which players use to take photos and develop them by hand to solve puzzles and connect the human world with the beyond.
