Webzen has introduced commemorative events and updates to mark the 20th anniversary of official service for its PC MMORPG R2 (Reign of Revolution). The 'R2SPECT FESTIVAL' will run for three weeks from October 22 to November 12.
The newly applied 'BEYOND 20' update serves as the second update for 'The New Journey.' It improves the attendance system and inventory user interface while adding 20th-anniversary transformations and transformation skins that anyone can obtain by completing quests during the event period.
A new event server, 'Memoria,' has also opened. It offers dedicated events and play support benefits, allowing characters to be transferred to standard or specialized servers once operations end. Characters that meet conditions such as initial login and level milestones will receive a 'Coin Pouch.'
On 'Memoria,' a 'Quest Making Event' is taking place where players can obtain a 'Teleport Control Ring.' A 'Character Level-Up Race' to compete for levels by server and class, mission completion events, and the server's first Siege and Spot War capture events have also been prepared.
The exchange event for the 'R2SPECT FESTIVAL' allows players to collect 'R2 Event Tickets' and redeem them for rewards. Tickets obtained through monster hunting or cumulative playtime rewards can be exchanged for various items. If players use tickets along with 'Chaos Points' to exchange for a 'Special Gift Box,' they will also receive an 'R2 20th Anniversary Coin.'
Exchange rewards for the coins include the 'R2 20th Anniversary Gift Box' series. Players who acquire a required number of coins can also participate in an earring destruction restoration event.
An 'EXP Plus Event' granting additional experience equal to the EXP gained during gameplay is also being held. Alongside this, attendance, mission completion, and play support events are underway. Detailed information regarding the event and the new server can be found on the official R2 website.
