Red Bull India has announced a product partnership with Team Apex Gaming, the esports organisation founded by Jonathan ‘Jonathan’ Amaral.

The deal covers Team Apex Gaming’s competitive rosters in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Free Fire, two mobile battle royale titles, along with the organisation’s network of gaming content creators. It extends an existing arrangement between the energy drink company and Amaral, who has been a Red Bull Player, the title the brand gives the gaming talent it sponsors, for three years.

Red Bull had already worked with individual Team Apex Gaming personalities before the wider agreement. Siddhant ‘Shreeman Legend’ Joshi was one of 100 competitors in the company’s MAX vs 100 karting challenge, while Shakshi ‘Sharkshe’ Shetty received an upgraded gaming room courtesy of the brand.

Amaral founded Team Apex Gaming in April. It has grown into India’s most-followed esports organisation in the six months since, with more than 920,000 followers on Instagram. The release credited that growth to the organisation’s competitive rosters and its established creators.

For Red Bull India, the agreement widens its involvement from a single player to Team Apex Gaming’s wider competitive and creator talent. The release said the two sides would also look at working together on gaming content, esports initiatives and community engagement, although it did not detail any specific projects.

Amaral, founder of Team Apex Gaming, said: “I’ve been a Red Bull Player for three years now, and some of my most memorable experiences have come through this partnership. As I begin a new chapter with Team Apex Gaming, it means a lot to have Red Bull supporting this journey. We’ve already created some incredible moments together, and I’m excited to take this partnership further, bringing even bigger and more memorable gaming experiences to fans across India.”

Red Bull’s presence in Indian esports

The partnership adds to Red Bull India’s existing activity in the country’s gaming and esports scene. The company already works with GodLike Esports and counts Ankit ‘V3nom’ Panth and Techno Gamerz among its Red Bull Players. It also runs gaming events in the market, including Red Bull Solo Legends.

Amaral plays on the BGMI roster himself, lining up alongside four team-mates, while the Free Fire side fields a separate five-player lineup. The creator network sits alongside both teams and includes several of the names Red Bull has already worked with.
