Ahead of its official release on October 23, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched its Single-Player Campaign Early Access on October 17 KST, allowing players to experience all 16 missions in advance.
Anyone who pre-ordered or pre-purchased a digital version of the game can participate in this Single-Player Campaign Early Access until the official launch date of October 23. The benefit applies to buyers of both the Standard Digital Edition and the Vault Edition, with supported platforms including Xbox Series X and S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Set against the backdrop of a new full-scale invasion threatening the world, the campaign unfolds across 16 missions spanning major locations including the Korean Peninsula, Paris, New York, and Mumbai. Players will fight against the invasion across the Korean Peninsula alongside squadmates from the perspective of a new character, Private Park Hyun Jun. Additionally, players can experience a narrative following John Price—returning as an outlaw operator—as he tracks down the mastermind behind the events.
Before jumping into the gameplay, players can catch up on the events leading into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 through a story recap video on official channels, covering the invasion of Urzikstan, the origins of Task Force 141, and the deadly conflict between Captain Price and General Shepherd.
Completion rewards unlocked by completing the 16 campaign missions in order can be carried over and used in Multiplayer and DMZ modes upon official release. In order of progression, available rewards include the "Cho" Base Operator, "No More Rules" Calling Card, Double XP Token, "Dallas" Base Operator, "Ready Line" Loading Screen, "Luca" Base Operator, "Gone Dark" Emblem, "Oh-Ji" Base Operator, Double XP Token, "Kal" Base Operator, Double Weapon XP Token, "Dunn" Base Operator, Double Weapon XP Token, "West" Base Operator, Double XP Token, and "Park" Base Operator.
