Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-gyu) announced on September 30 that it has launched a major Version 1.4 update for the monster-taming action RPG <Monster Tamer: STAR DIVE> (developed by Netmarble Monster, PC/mobile), adding a new episode and character.
First, a new region was revealed alongside the seventh episode, 'Berceuse Rocking the Ash Cradle', where a new story unfolds. In this new region, players can encounter 29 new types of Monsterings and 15 types of Link Chains, as well as 'Sorin', a new legendary subjugation monster swallowed by the void while longing for ascension. 'Sorin' presents diverse combat patterns, offering a fresh gameplay experience.
A new 5-star Ice-attribute character, 'Isabella', has also arrived. 'Isabella' is a complacent genius engineering student who once used her abilities to help many people, but is now focused solely on her personal research. Players can uncover Isabella's hidden story through the event story 'Wanderers Crossing the Boundary', and currency earned through event dungeon gameplay and missions can be exchanged for rewards such as summon tickets.
In addition, various content was added, including 'Elemental Sanctuary', where players can defeat bosses to level up new passive skills for each character, and 'Mobile AR Camera Mode', which allows players to meet on-screen characters in real life. The maximum player Adventure Level cap was also expanded from 60 to 70.
A wealth of events celebrating the update are also underway. Key items such as summon tickets and growth materials can be obtained through the 'Special Mission with Isabella' and 'Isabella's 7-Day Gift' events. Meanwhile, the Half-Anniversary Special Attendance Pass and Special Mission offer a 0.5-anniversary border and profile as rewards. Furthermore, to commemorate the 0.5 anniversary, rerun recruitment for the characters 'Mina' and 'Narae', as well as their artifacts, is being held.
