SteelSeries is launching the Aeon Pro wireless controller, which supports switching between PC and Xbox, in Korea. Introduced to mark the brand's 25th anniversary, the product features a QuickSwitch Dock system and dual hot-swappable batteries.
The Aeon Pro supports a QuickSwitch Dock system that enables fast switching between PC and Xbox. SteelSeries introduced this as the world's first system for PC and Xbox, and is preparing to file a related patent application.
The control section features triggers that can toggle between full trigger and hair trigger modes, Hall Effect thumbsticks, and mechanical switches. It also incorporates a wraparound textured grip that helps secure the hands for improved control.
Power is provided by the Infinite Power System utilizing dual hot-swappable batteries. The back of the controller features contoured buttons and an onboard OLED screen, allowing users to access custom profiles and key functions.
The modular stick system offers three interchangeable thumbsticks—standard concave, tall concave, and short convex—which can be stored directly in the dock. Through the SteelSeries GG software, users can customize button, trigger, and profile settings, individually adjust the rumble intensity of four separate motors, remap functions, integrate custom GG and Sonar settings, and configure PC power options.
