The Wuthering Waves Concert Tour: To the New World will make its US debut at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on October 17th. The LA date will be the tour's first show outside Asia. It comes after a run of shows in Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei and, most recently, Singapore. According to a release, all five have sold out.
The concert is built around music from Wuthering Waves, an open-world action role-playing game (RPG) from developer Kuro Games. In the game, players take control of Rover. They explore the world of Solaris-3, meet companions along the way and slowly uncover the story behind Rover's lost memories.
What to expect from To the New World
If the LA show follows the format of earlier dates, fans can expect singers performing the game's soundtrack live, with footage from the game, stage visuals and dancers behind them. At previous shows, the setlist worked its way through the game's different regions and story moments. Characters from the game also made appearances, and there were photo opportunities around the performance.
The release described the concert as a celebration of Solaris-3 and of the stories and characters players have found there over the past two years.
Singapore sells out in 40 minutes
The tour's most recent stop was at Singapore's Esplanade Theatre on September 26th. According to the release, tickets for the 2,000-capacity venue sold out within 40 minutes of going on sale.
It is not yet clear whether the Los Angeles show will follow the same pattern.
