Digital Extremes has released Warframe's major update 'Iceblade of Narin' across all platforms. Along with the 66th Warframe 'Narin', a mountain social zone, new mission spaces, weapons, and more have been added, while service on the Samsung Galaxy Store also launches.
'Narin' is the first female ice Warframe, using a legendary ice blade and cold power to freeze enemies or restore shields. She is also equipped with abilities to dive from the air to trigger an area-of-effect explosion and rain down hail upon marked enemies. Her signature bow 'Nunchasa' and dual ice pistols 'Aksondol' are also introduced.
Players can explore the new social area at 'Yuvan's Peak' and reunite with 'Cephalon Melica'. 'Entropic Eximus' enemies appear on the abandoned ship 'Zariman', and while progressing through related missions, players have a chance to discover a new space, 'Melica's Lab'.
'Citrine Prime' also joins through 'Citrine Prime Access'. 'Citrine Prime' features increased energy and armor, along with an additional Naramon Dash polarity slot. New Prime weapons include the shotgun 'Steflos Prime' and the scythe 'Corufell Prime'.
'Banshee' has received a full ability rework to make dealing damage easier and more consistent. To celebrate, a 'Banshee' Warframe and 'Forma' resources will be gifted to all players logging in across all platforms until October 7. Android users using the Samsung Galaxy Store can receive special login rewards until October 21, including the 'Valentine Color Picker' and 'Manegarmr Ephemera'.
New cosmetic items have also been added. These include the 'Banshee Threnodia Deluxe Skin', concepted by community artist Mischka, and the 'Qorvex Basilica Deluxe Skin', co-designed with Sumo Digital, alongside 'TennoGen' cosmetics such as the 'Reliquia Syandana', 'Gothica Signa', 'Vermis Signa', 'Jade Coven Warframe Skin', and 'Citrine Heliotropia Alt Helmet'.
Megan Everett, Warframe Community Director, said, “It feels very nostalgic to return to some of Warframe's most iconic locations before we make our way to Tau.”
Warframe was first released on PC in 2013 and now boasts over 85 million registered players across multiple platforms, including console and mobile. The game features more than 18 planets, over 60 Warframes, and 4 open-world regions.
