SOOP is hosting the 2026 Overwatch Meolmangjeon Invitational, where 24 streamers will compete across four teams. The tournament will run from September 22 to 24, featuring a total prize pool of 20 million won.
The tournament features Overwatch, a team-based shooter serviced by Nexon. Unlike SOOP's traditional Meolmangjeon original content, where teams are formed through applications and fan votes, SOOP directly invited participating streamers to set up the tournament matchups for this Invitational.
The lineup includes gaming streamers such as Kim Seong-tae, Oa, Kang Man-sik, and Parksajang, as well as virtual streamers including VIICHAN, Jingburger, and Hangyeol. On September 20, team captains Parksajang, Jungryeok, Ttanttan2dang, and Onne completed forming the four teams through a draft auction to distribute the participants.
The round-robin stage will take place on September 22 and 23 starting at 7:00 PM in a best-of-three format. Matches will feature the Control, Escort, and Hybrid game modes.
The grand finals will begin at 5:00 PM on September 24, using a best-of-seven format to determine the winner. Matches will proceed sequentially across Control, Escort, Hybrid, and 'Free' modes. Out of the 20 million won total prize pool, 15 million won will be awarded to the champions, with 5 million won going to the runner-up.
During the event period, an account-linking verification event for SOOP, Nexon, and Blizzard will also take place. Players who log into Nexon Overwatch, link their accounts, and upload a verification screenshot to the event board by October 4 will be entered into a draw to win prizes.
