Ahead of Season 5, Last Epoch has announced that it will pay closer attention to its Korean localization.
On September 21, the developers of Last Epoch released a video titled "Game Director Mike's Message to Korea" on their official YouTube channel. In the 40-second video, Game Director Mike appears in person to apologize for the inconvenience players experienced due to previous shortcomings in Korean localization, while assuring that they will continuously focus on improving Korean language support starting with Season 5.
Looking at the reactions from players who have actually played the game, the majority noted that while basic content was understandable, some translations were awkward and spelling and technical jargon were lacking. With these measures, those disappointing aspects of the Korean localization are expected to be resolved, enabling smoother gameplay.
Meanwhile, Last Epoch, which pledged its commitment to improving Korean localization, will launch Season 5, "Rage of the Frostborn," on October 1 (local time). Morditas is added as a new boss, along with the "Rage of Morditas" seasonal mechanic. For new skills, Dreamslash is added for the Bladedancer, Radiant Lance for the Paladin, and Summon Tide Elemental for the Shaman. In addition, changes to Item Factions, improvements to certain waypoints, and UI enhancements will be introduced.
