On September 18, a hands-on gameplay video was released for 'Astraea Oratio', a new RPG developed by Dynamis One and published by NC. Captured directly from a demonstration version at Tokyo Game Show 2026, the 27-minute footage shows the Korean build running on a smartphone.
The demo build consists of 'Minato Ward Chapter 1,' set in Tokyo's Minato Ward. Starting with a title screen displaying a city view overlooking Tokyo Tower, the opening opens with the dialogue line, "Indeed, Tokyo's magic is spectacular." The "Shin-Denki" concept of a modern Tokyo where the existence of magic is hidden carries directly into actual gameplay.
Combat was confirmed to be real-time action based on a three-character party. Players spend AP at the bottom of the screen to link skills, react to enemy action telegraphs, and swap characters when an ally enters a 'Break' state as prompted by on-screen guides. Starting with a combat tutorial in front of a burning helicopter, boss battles unfold across shifting stages—from a horde of twisted mannequins and a giant land spirit in the form of a teddy bear to a clock tower rooftop, an ice rink, and night streets with scattering cherry blossoms. A stage structure where supernatural phenomena seep into everyday spaces forms the core framework of the demo.
Out-of-combat elements are also notable. On the chapter hub screen, mission, quest, and story menus are organized under the title "Sparkling Days of Minato Ward's Magicians," backed by background artwork of characters in school uniforms walking to and from school. Everyday life depictions hold significant weight, such as monologues while passing a shrine closing due to redevelopment and a church hosting a wedding, as well as cutscenes of characters splashing in a pool. The foundation of a live-service game was also fully present in the demo build, including victory screens, party composition, and account levels.
Meanwhile, NC plans to directly showcase AsOra's gameplay and world to players through Tokyo Game Show 2026 and an upcoming global CBT (closed beta test), using player feedback gathered on-site to refine the game's overall quality.
