The Korea Mobile Game Association announced that the offline exhibition for '2026 INDIECRAFT,' held from September 11 to 12 at the special exhibition hall on the 1st floor of Pangyo Tech One Tower, has concluded.
'2026 INDIECRAFT' is an indie game festival hosted by Seongnam City and co-organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Mobile Game Association. This year, the offline exhibition was held in collaboration with Seongnam City's game culture festival, 'GXG 2026'.
According to the association, over 43,000 visitors gathered around Pangyo Station for this year's 'GXG 2026,' up from approximately 38,000 last year. A total of 64 domestic and international indie games selected through an evaluation process participated in the INDIECRAFT exhibition, featuring live developer booths and exhibitions in the Challenger division, which focused on university student development teams.
A 'Brazil Special Pavilion' was also set up to introduce Brazilian indie games, allowing visitors to experience titles from Brazilian developers firsthand. The organizers explained that they expanded the exhibition space compared to last year and widened the gaps between booths to create an environment where visitors and developers could communicate more effectively.
The organizing secretariat set up a dedicated 'INDIECRAFT Event Page' on Steam to showcase the selected developers' games. On September 11, the first day of the exhibition, the '2026 Connect Fair - K-Game Export Consultation' was held at Gravity Seoul Pangyo, where around 240 business meetings took place between domestic indie game developers and global investors and publishers.
Lee Ju-yeon, President of the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, said, "The indie game ecosystem centered around Pangyo has expanded further through this collaboration with 'GXG 2026'. We will continue to provide support so that outstanding indie developers can step onto the global stage."
Hwang Sung-ik, Chairman of the Korea Mobile Game Association and Co-Chairman of the INDIECRAFT Organizing Committee, stated, "Through its connection with 'GXG 2026,' this year's INDIECRAFT has expanded into a festival where even more citizens and gamers can experience K-indie games firsthand. We will further strengthen support that leads to tangible growth for developers, including export consultations and promotions on global platforms."
