Smilegate announced on the 15th that its new MMORPG 'Eclipse: The Awakening' (hereinafter 'Eclipse') achieved the No. 1 spot in top sales on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. 'Eclipse' was developed by NPIXEL.
Following its release on the 10th, 'Eclipse' immediately topped the Apple App Store sales rankings, and on the 15th—just five days after launch—it also secured the No. 1 spot on the Google Play Store.
To celebrate the milestone, Smilegate is offering growth materials—including 10 million Gold, 'Sanctuary Speedup Blessing', and 'Equipment Enhancement Sphere Crystal'—to players who log into the game by October 14. Players on the new world 'Belzera', which opens on the 16th, are also eligible to receive these rewards.
On the 14th, Smilegate hosted the 'Eclipse Developer LIVE' on its official YouTube channel. NPIXEL Executive Producer Lee Sang-moon, who leads development, shared key improvement plans during the stream, such as adjusting the combat environment for melee classes and lowering World Boss difficulty.
'Eclipse' provides summon tickets and growth materials over time through its core feature, the 'Sanctuary'. It also supports an 'AI Mode' that allows characters to continue growing even while offline.
