ASUS announced that approximately 6,000 people visited its ROG 20th anniversary pop-up store, which was held at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo from the 1st to the 13th.
The pop-up store showcased the latest ROG gaming laptops and the ROG Xbox Ally lineup of handheld gaming PCs. It also featured hands-on zones where visitors could try out the devices, along with interactive events.
At the event, ASUS unveiled the 'ROG Xbox Ally X20', a handheld gaming PC created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ROG brand. On the 12th, the company held an initial offline pre-order for a total of 30 units, with a second round of pre-orders scheduled for the second half of the year. For the second phase, ASUS plans to offer both standalone units and bundle products while expanding its sales channels.
The 'ROG Xbox Ally X20' is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD. It supports up to 50 TOPS of AI performance and features a 7.4-inch OLED display panel that delivers up to 600 nits SDR and 1,400 nits HDR brightness.
It also features TMR joysticks and Aura RGB joystick light rings, and supports storage expansion via microSD Express.
An ASUS representative stated that the event served as an opportunity to expand engagement with Korean gamers, adding that the company will continue to host online and offline programs moving forward.
