The gaming culture festival 'GXG 2026 (Game culture X Generation 2026)' will be held from September 11 to 12 around Pangyo Station Plaza and Tech1 Tower. Hosted by Seongnam City, the event is organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the Game Culture Foundation.
Ahead of the main event, a pre-event titled 'GXG Busking Time' will take place on Pangyo Content Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on September 10. Five bands composed of game industry employees will take the stage to perform.
On September 11, the first day of the main event, Dynamic Duo will give an opening celebratory performance on the main stage at Pangyo Station Central Plaza at 6 p.m. This will be followed by the finals of 'The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK', a contest featuring music and performances inspired by video games.
On September 12, starting at 12 p.m. on the 'Illuststar Fest Stage', the event will host the finals of the Korea Subculture Contest's cosplay dance category, an indie idol showcase, and 'KKOTGAMI's Game Music LIVE'. The awards ceremony for the 'AI Game Sound Design Challenge (AI GSDC)' will take place at 3:30 p.m.
At 5 p.m. on the same day, the 'GXG Gala Concert' will be held on the central plaza main stage. Performances will be given by Neople's developmental disability cello ensemble 'Ensemble Heal', the Contemporary Gugak Orchestra of the National Gugak Center, and the finalists of 'GXG SOUND TRACK'.
At Pangyo Station North Plaza, the 'GXG Play Lounge' will be set up where visitors can enjoy console games, alongside brand experience zones offering character drawing, voice actor dubbing, AI game sound production, board games, and more. A space for trying on costumes and face painting will also be operated.
Exhibition programs will also take place. The 'GXG Costume Gallery | Smilegate × RZCOS' will feature character costumes, weapons, and props from 'Lost Ark'. On the second floor of Tech1 Tower, original tracks that reached the finals of 'GXG SOUND TRACK' from 2024 to 2026 and the games that inspired them will be introduced. In the central plaza, visitors can explore social contribution exhibitions highlighting game industry initiatives in education, culture, the environment, and local communities.
