Netmarble announced on September 9 that it has added new 5-star character 'Vivian' to the monster-taming action RPG 'MONGIL: STAR DIVE'. Developed by Netmarble Monster, the game is available on PC and mobile.
'Vivian' is one of the flagship characters from the original game, 'Monster Taming'. Having received the most votes in a popularity poll for original characters conducted before release, she makes her return with a fresh new look.
In the game, 'Vivian' is set as the bunny girl mascot for the theater troupe 'Fluffy Tales'. She is a 5-star Fire-attribute Support character who boosts the combat power of same-attribute party members by utilizing Fire damage increases and Fire weakness debuffs.
To celebrate the update, Netmarble is holding a special three-week event, 'Bunny Girl of Eternal Joy'. Players can earn currency by completing missions and playing event dungeons to obtain summon tickets, growth materials, and more. An Epic Quest focusing on Vivian's story, 'Desire Collector', has also been added.
The development team also revealed a second-half update roadmap during a live stream on September 2. The 1.4 update scheduled for September 30 will include Episode 7, the new region 'Gaba Islands', character reruns celebrating the 0.5-anniversary, and related events.
Subsequently, Version 1.5 will introduce a friend system revamp and a ranking honor system. Version 1.6 plans to add holiday and New Year special stories, character epilogues, as well as affinity and interaction content.
