Riot Games announced that Global Esports (GE) defeated Nongshim RedForce (NS) 3-2 to claim their first VCT Pacific championship since the organization's inception at the '2026 VCT Pacific Finals Busan.'
The tournament took place from September 4 to 6 at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan. Global Esports dropped to the lower bracket after losing 1-2 to Nongshim RedForce in Upper Round 3 on September 4, but advanced to the grand final by defeating T1, who had eliminated Varrel (VL), 3-1.
In the grand final, Nongshim RedForce claimed the first two maps. Global Esports fought back with consecutive victories in Maps 3 and 4 to push the series to a deciding final map. In Map 5, after breaking a 7-7 tie, Global Esports pulled ahead to complete the reverse-sweep victory.
Go "UdoTan" Kyung-won was named MVP for his outstanding performance in the grand final. In the final map, Kim "Francis" Moo-bin and Jeong "Xross" Hwan led engagements for Nongshim RedForce, while Go and Xavier "xavi8k" Juan spearheaded firefights for Global Esports.
Ahead of the grand final, Audrey Nuna performed "superHuman," the anthem for VCT Pacific Stage 2. She also took part in a broadcast interview during the Map 1 halftime.
The results of this tournament also finalized the four Pacific representatives and their seedings for Champions Shanghai. Champions Global Esports secured the No. 1 seed, while runners-up Nongshim RedForce earned the No. 2 seed. Based on Championship Point standings, Paper Rex (PRX) and T1 qualified as the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, respectively.
