The 2026 IndieCraft Organizing Committee announced that it operated a promotional booth at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 28.
IndieCraft participated in Gamescom for the second consecutive year, following last year. This year's promotional booth was set up at twice the size of last year's to support the overseas expansion of domestic indie games.
At the booth, an English directory book containing information on selected titles was provided via QR code. On the walls, game images and descriptions of selected developers were displayed in a gallery format, allowing game industry stakeholders—including foreign investors and publishers—to experience the selected titles.
According to the organizing committee, on-site discussions regarding collaborations such as global publishing and attracting investment took place. Domestic and international gaming industry professionals also attended 'IndieCraft Networking Time' held on August 27. Discussions were also held regarding potential memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with overseas gaming organizations from New Zealand, Quebec, and other regions.
Lee Joo-yeon, Director of the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, said, "Through operating this booth at Gamescom, we were able to leave a strong impression of the capabilities of outstanding domestic indie games and developers on overseas gaming industry officials under the name 'IndieCraft.' We will continue to spare no effort in providing multifaceted support so that IndieCraft can reliably back domestic indie game developers in expanding overseas."
Hwang Sung-ik, Chairman of the Korea Mobile Game Association, said, "To ensure that the international interest confirmed at Gamescom leads to tangible results, we will continue follow-up discussions on MOUs while steadily raising overseas interest in IndieCraft selected titles."
IndieCraft will hold an offline exhibition linked with 'GXG 2026' from the 11th to the 12th. It also plans to hold the '2026 Connect Fair Export Consultation' featuring around 30 domestic and international partner companies to support the overseas expansion of selected developers.
