'Escape from Playtime', a co-op survival horror game set in the 'Poppy Playtime' universe, has been revealed.
Mob Entertainment showcased gameplay footage of 'Escape from Playtime' on August 27 during the gamescom 2026 Future Games Show (FGS). The game supports 1–4 player online co-op, where players are trapped in an abandoned toy factory and must survive while following directions from a mysterious voice.
Each run places players into a specific section of the factory, including classrooms, warehouses, testing labs, and the dark corridors connecting them. Inhabiting this factory are discarded Playtime Co. creations that stalk the decaying hallways. Players must work together to utilize their surroundings and escape the factory.
The mysterious voice commands players to venture deeper into the facility to recover scattered parts and resources. To survive, players must use tools found within the factory, uncover clues, locate hiding spots, and evade the rejected creations by distracting them or taking alternate routes. When playing with a group, proximity voice chat can be used to scout broader areas.
Additionally, the game features a mini mode where players can crawl and explore all across the factory as 'Smiling Critters', while the mysterious voice randomly alters the factory's layout on every run, ensuring a fresh experience even in familiar locations.
'Escape from Playtime' will first launch in Early Access, featuring the full eight-character roster, one starting area, and a core enemy lineup. Additional areas, enemies, and content will be added later based on player feedback. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
