Detailed stage events have been fully revealed for the game culture festival GXG 2026 (Game culture X Generation 2026), hosted by Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) and co-organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency (President Lee Ju-yeon) and the Game Culture Foundation (Chairman Yoo Byung-han). The festival will take place on a large scale from September 11 to 12 around Pangyo Station Square.

On the festival's first day, September 11, the opening stage will kick off the event. Wooju Golchi Club, winner of last year's SOUND TRACK competition, will take the stage to warm up the atmosphere, followed by an official opening declaration by Seongnam Mayor Shin Sang-jin. Afterwards, Korea's representative hip-hop group Dynamic Duo will deliver an explosive performance to connect with the audience.

Next up is the main round stage of 'The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK', one of the festival's flagship programs. Six finalist teams, who reimagined game lore, characters, and gameplay experiences through their own musical styles, will showcase original songs with distinct charms. Online preliminary voting for the competition will run from August 28 to September 10, and the final winning team will be determined by combining those results with on-site votes cast on the day of the main round.

On September 12, the 'GXG Gala Concert' will feature the colorful charms of game music across various genres. The lineup includes a live game OST performance by Ensemble Heal, Neople's cello ensemble composed of musicians with disabilities, as well as a special 'Game Sound Series' stage where the Contemporary Gugak Orchestra of the National Gugak Center reinterprets game music through traditional Korean music. In addition, the finalist teams from 'The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK' held the previous day will take the stage once again to perform their competition entries and freestyle pieces, delivering moving performances for visitors.

Ahead of the main event, a pre-festival event will take place on September 10 to give attendees an early taste of the festival's music. From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on that day, five corporate bands made up of game and IT industry employees will host 'GXG Busking Time' at Pangyo Content Street. Transforming from everyday office workers into passionate musicians, they will deliver live performances highlighting each team's unique personality.

Blending diverse genres including band music, hip-hop, cello ensembles, and traditional Korean music, the festival is expected to offer a special experience where gaming merges with music to expand into new cultural content.
