As the 2026 LCK regular season came to a close, Gen.G recorded a 19-7 record, setting a major milestone by finishing 1st in the regular season for three consecutive years.

Riot Games announced that the full schedule concluded with Week 2 of Round 4 of the 2026 League of Legends (LoL) Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at Chzzk LoL Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from August 19 to 23. Gen.G, who claimed top spot in the tournament, defeated KT Rolster 2-1 and lost to Dplus KIA 1-2 in the final week to finish with a final record of 19 wins and 7 losses. Hanwha Life Esports also recorded 19 wins, 7 losses, and a +22 set differential, matching Gen.G's record, but Gen.G secured 1st place overall thanks to a 3-1 head-to-head advantage during the regular season. With this, Gen.G accomplished a monumental milestone of finishing 1st in the regular season for three straight years, following 17-1 in 2024 and 29-1 in 2025 through 2026.

Hanwha Life Esports swept both Dplus KIA and T1 2-0 in the final week, going undefeated across four sets to lock in 2nd place in the regular season at 19-7. T1, who lost to Hanwha Life Esports, finished 3rd at 17-9, while Dplus KIA, also at 17-9, moved into the Playoffs in 4th place due to set differential. KT Rolster, suffering a recent six-game losing streak, finished 5th in the 'Legend Group' and will start their postseason campaign from the 'Play-In'.

Meanwhile, in the 'Rise Group', Hanjin BRION, Nongshim RedForce, and BNK FearX all posted identical 10-16 records to claim tickets to the 'Play-In'. Out of the three teams, Hanjin BRION took 1st place in the 'Rise Group' with a superior set differential, while Nongshim RedForce and BNK FearX, who were tied in set differential as well, were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively based on head-to-head records. The 'Play-In' stage, featuring 5th-place 'Legend Group' team KT Rolster and the top three 'Rise Group' teams, will be held from August 26 to 28, with only two teams advancing to the final 'Playoffs' stage.
