Super Creative released the INFINITY Showcase video today (Aug. 22) to celebrate the 8th anniversary of its hero collector RPG, 'Epic Seven'. In this showcase, Producer Tak Kwang-jin and Development Director Heo Dae-kyun appeared to announce key details, including the 8th anniversary update, online and offline events, and the roadmap ahead.
Side story episode 'Paradise Lost' unveiled, covering the very first Era

For this 8th anniversary, Epic Seven will delve into the 1st Era, the earliest period in its lore. Previously, Epic Seven mainly portrayed the story of the protagonist Ras fulfilling his mission as the Heir of the Covenant in the Seventh World, and subsequently becoming human to travel across the realm, overcoming crises alongside new companions. Since then, starting with the 6th Era episode in 2025 and the 5th Era side story episode 'Rain of Fading Embers', the game expanded its universe by showcasing settings and characters from previous eras. Now, with the 8th anniversary, Epic Seven aims to firmly establish its lore based on its origin story.
The 1st Era takes place before Ras existed, centering around Kayron as a human before becoming an Apostle, Politis who came to Orbis while investigating the truth behind the destruction of her homeworld, and Lizette, the manifestation of Goddess Diche. The central hero, Lizette, is a Light-element Soul Weaver who sacrificed everything to protect Orbis. Reflecting this concept, she possesses a passive skill that revives allies as Shards of Life. Allied heroes in the Shard of Life state take no damage and return to their original hero form after 2 turns to rejoin the battle. Her Skill 3, 'Convergent Time', restores the Health of all allies and increases Speed for 3 turns. If she is in the Divinity state, she triggers 'Time Rewind' for all allies except herself, resetting them to the state they were in at the start of battle.

Another major hero, 'Unknown Pioneer Politis', showcases a unique gimmick fitting her pioneer concept, where her assigned role changes based on her placement. When placed in the front row, she receives an offensive role, and when in the back row, she receives a defensive role, altering her skill effects accordingly—making strategic placement based on team composition a key point. Additionally, Kayron before becoming an Apostle, named 'Cain', will appear as an NPC rather than a new summonable hero, while Apostle of the End Kayron will be introduced separately at a later date.

Offline mode support, quality-of-life improvements, and content overhauls announced

Following the introduction of the Paradise Lost story, details regarding quality-of-life improvement patches were unveiled. First, offline mode support will be added to Battle Delegation. Previously, playing Epic Seven required keeping auto-battle running continuously to farm Hunts, but going forward, Battle Delegation will operate offline based on actual clear records. Players can queue up to 100 Leifs (Stamina currency), and automatic equipment sale and extraction features will also apply. Alongside these improvements, an Equipment Charm Payback event will run for three weeks starting August 27 to reduce players' equipment enhancement burden. During this period, players can receive refunds in Greater Universal Equipment Charm Selection Chests proportional to the EXP spent on equipment enhancement.

Additionally, 'Ogre's Armory', which previously served as early-game equipment farming content, has seen lower utility due to revamped early progression systems. As a result, it will be integrated into the Hunt menu as the new 'Ogre Hunt'. In Ogre Hunt, players will be able to obtain the Revenge, Counter, Opening, and Pursuit sets, which were previously obtainable only in Rift. Meanwhile, 'Rift'—which was initially added to capture the feel of massive boss battles—has become repetitive farming content and overlaps with other modes, so it will be temporarily removed and re-released after an overhaul.
In addition to PvE combat content, customization elements will be expanded. Profile Cards will see their max layers increased to 130 and available slots expanded to 10. New colors, shapes, and emotes will also be added, along with a feature allowing players to position elements by directly entering coordinates. PC hotkeys will also be supported, and a friend gifting feature will be added.
Meanwhile, a new PvP mode named 'Call of Chaos' will be added. Call of Chaos is a new mode in World Arena, designed as a 3v3 arcade-style PvP where players can jump straight into the fun of battle. The pick/ban phase lasts about one minute and drops the sequential pick/ban system in favor of displaying random heroes all at once for battle. Players can reroll heroes they wish to swap up to two times to build their team.
The win condition also differs. While traditional World Arena requires defeating all enemy heroes to win, Call of Chaos awards victory to the side that destroys the enemy's rear-row Guardian first. As long as the Guardian is alive, it continuously revives fallen heroes, offering a thrill of dynamic comebacks distinct from standard battles. Additionally, the roguelike element 'Destiny' will appear during battle, allowing players to buff allies or debuff enemies to turn the tide. A Call of Chaos run ends upon reaching 7 wins or 3 losses; rewards increase with each victory, and completing a run awards ranking points and shop currency. Season ranks will be tallied based on ranking points, granting additional rank rewards.

Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration kicks off in September; permanent roguelike mode 'Dimension Exploration' added

Additionally, a collaboration with Super Creative's other anime collector RPG, 'Chaos Zero Nightmare', has been confirmed for September. The story will follow Renoa, Haru, and Meyrin after they crash-land into the world of Epic Seven due to a sudden Chaos Gate opening aboard the SS Nightmare. Among them, Renoa, who appears as a Moonlight hero, can be obtained for free during the event period, while Haru and Meyrin will be available through limited summons.
Along with the Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration, a unique event incorporating various elements from Chaos Zero Nightmare into Epic Seven will unfold. For example, the 'Epione Center'—which treats crew members' mental breakdowns after exploration in Chaos Zero Nightmare—will be established in Witch Haven. Furthermore, the NPC Delang, who sells various goods inside the Chaos, will visit the world of Epic Seven to sell Chaos Zero Nightmare gear and various items adapted for Epic Seven.

In line with Chaos Zero Nightmare being a roguelike deckbuilding game, a new permanent roguelike mode named 'Dimension Exploration' will also be added. Operating on a permanent seasonal basis separate from the collaboration, it requires no entry currency and can be challenged repeatedly at any time. Upon entering Dimension Exploration, players select three heroes and special effects in 'Departure Supplies' before proceeding with the roguelike run. Following node paths, players select from randomly appearing events such as combat, shops, events, and supplies, growing their heroes by acquiring artifacts that boost combat stats or grant resources and bonuses during battles and events.
In Dimension Exploration, players can assemble a party of up to 7 heroes, and the tag system—which previously allowed swapping only one hero—has been expanded to allow up to 3 hero swaps. This enables players to flexibly respond to combat situations by tagging in different heroes. As players progress through combat and event nodes, the run concludes upon defeating bosses across three floors or suffering a total party defeat. Upon completion, settlement currency is awarded based on progress and reached stages, which can be used to repair Dimension Exploration facilities and conduct research to establish a foundation for smoother future runs. In addition, participating in Dimension Exploration awards various rewards such as MolaGoras and Equipment Charms through Chapter Passes, alongside filling Archives and Journal collections. While the first Dimension Exploration features a Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration theme, it will be continuously updated with various lore themes in the future.
