Digital Touch (CEO Jung Sung-heon) officially released the first downloadable content (hereinafter DLC) expansion, 'Hell Rising', for Koei Tecmo Games' dark Sengoku action RPG Nioh 3 (PlayStation 5 and Steam) today, along with its launch trailer.

In this DLC, a new story and conspiracy revolving around the Spirit Stones unfold against the backdrop of 'Edo Keian', a new area transformed into a hellscape. Players can directly play with the new weapon types, 'Spear-Shield' and 'Ninja Spear-Shield', which combine a sturdy shield with a sharp spear to deliver seamless offensive and defensive actions.

In addition, the 'Hundred Demon Realms Picture Scroll' content—where players experience countless combat patterns to select optimal special effects—along with a new high-difficulty mode, provides greater character build diversity and deep strategic depth. Various new elements have also been introduced, including a new Guardian Spirit, weapon skills, skills, Ninjutsu, and Onmyo Magic.
