The August 19 update introduced new high-tier Magic. These powerful spells are particularly effective at reducing an opponent's survivability, making them potent tools for breaking through enemy defensive lines during Siege War. However, they are expected to be extremely difficult to obtain.
The new skills include 'Counter Barrier' for Knights, while Elves can now learn Soul of Flame (Fire), Striker Gale (Wind), Water Life (Water), and Pollute Water (Water). Mages have received Decay Potion (Level 36, Tier 9) and Advance Spirit (Level 40, Tier 10).
■ Counter Barrier (Knight, Level 50, Two-Handed Sword)
This skill can be used when a Knight is equipped with a Two-Handed Sword. It provides a chance to dodge and counterattack against an opponent's melee attack. The counterattack damage is based on the 'Large Monster Attack' stat of the equipped Two-Handed Sword. While it is limited to melee attacks and carries the disadvantage of being unable to equip a Shield, the evasion and counterattack damage help offset these drawbacks.
It is dropped by the 'Guardian Armor' in the Dream Island and by the boss Antharas.

■ Soul of Flame (Elf, Level 50, Fire)
This allows an Elf using a melee weapon to attack at maximum weapon damage for 128 seconds, and the weapon will not take damage. Since most Elves currently use bows, this skill has limited utility, but it is very powerful for those building a melee Elf. However, the short duration of about 2 minutes and the cost of 3 Spirit Crystals per cast make it expensive to maintain.
It drops from the Horn Cerberus in the Fire Nest and can also be obtained from the boss Demon.

■ Striker Gale (Elf, Level 50, Wind)
A debuff-type Spirit Magic that has a chance to reduce an opponent's ER (Evasion) by one-third. It can be used on a single PC target within 6 cells, with a duration ranging from 4 to 12 seconds. Because it only works on PCs, it cannot be used for hunting monsters or in Boss Raids.
It is dropped by Death appearing on floors 6 through 8 of the Ivory Tower, and by the boss Phoenix.

■ Water Life (Elf, Level 30, Water)
Water Life increases the effect of healing magic received by the target by 1.5 times for a single instance. Although the duration is quite long at 64 seconds, the effect is described as a one-time boost rather than a continuous one, meaning the buff will likely disappear once a healing spell is received within that window. Therefore, it is unlikely to significantly boost the survivability of frontline Knights who are constantly receiving heals during Siege War.
It is dropped by Zombie Elmore Mages and the boss Ice Queen.

■ Pollute Water (Elf, Level 50, Water)
A powerful debuff that reduces the effectiveness of an opponent's healing magic and recovery potions by half for 4 to 16 seconds. If applied, it significantly reduces the survivability of frontline Knights, making it useful for pushing back enemy defensive lines during Siege War. It also has a longer casting range than Decay Potion (mentioned below), allowing for safer usage.
It is dropped by Sea Dancers in Eva's Kingdom (Underwater Dungeon) and can also be obtained from the boss Ice Queen.

■ Decay Potion (Mage, Level 36, Tier 9)
A powerful debuff that prevents the target from using potions. The duration is 4 to 16 seconds. While it can be fatal to survivability by blocking potion use entirely, the downside is that the casting range is very short at 3 cells. In Siege War, it is quite difficult to use because it is hard for a Mage to get within 3 cells of a target.
It can be obtained from Succubus appearing on floor 4 and above of the Dragon Dungeon, and is also dropped by the boss Giant Queen Ant.

■ Advance Spirit (Mage, Level 40, Tier 10)
A spell that increases maximum HP and MP by 20% for 20 minutes. Note that this is a self-buff, not one that can be cast on allies. It is a simple and clear way to boost one's own survivability and sustainability, and since it requires no consumables, it is worth keeping active once learned.
It is dropped by Yeti appearing throughout Oren and by the boss Death Knight.
