Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 19th that it has updated the subculture game 'Blue Archive' with Main Story Part 2 and three new characters.
The update introduces the prologue to Main Story Part 2, along with '0. General Student Council Chapter, Chapter 1: On a Spring Day When Apricot Blossoms Bloom.' Set in 'Kivotos' following the 'Phrenapates Decisive Battle'—the final event of Part 1—this update introduces a new character claiming to be the General Student Council President, leading to an unexpected turn of events.
A new episode set against the backdrop of the main story's second part has also been updated. In 'Ex. Lore Tracker Chapter 1,' students from the 'FOX Platoon'—including the explosive-type Supporter 'Niko' and the Tank 'Kurumi' from 'SRT Special Academy'—make their appearance. In conjunction with the 'Special Operation: Lore Tracker' event, players can follow clues related to urban legends and uncover the truth behind the mystery. Completing quests within the event allows players to earn rewards such as 'Artifacts' and 'Universal Blueprint Choice Boxes,' and they can also encounter 'Otogi'.
Additionally, the three 'FOX Platoon' students featured in the new episode have been added as playable characters. 'Niko' uses her 'EX Skill' to remove harmful effects from one ally and grant an 'EX Skill' damage boost to allies within a circular range. 'Kurumi' uses her 'EX Skill' to deploy a 'Tactical Shield,' which restores 50% of its remaining capacity as HP when the shield expires. Finally, 'Otogi' switches to a designated firing stance when using her 'EX Skill,' increasing her Attack and Attack Speed.
To celebrate the update, Nexon is hosting the 'Who Let The Fox Out?' web event until September 1st. Players who check the daily student silhouettes on the 'Blue Archive' official website can receive various rewards, including '10 Superior Enhancement Stones,' '15 Superior Activity Reports,' and '600 Pyroxenes.'
