Pearl Abyss has published an 'Updates So Far' infographic on its official website, detailing the patches and system improvements implemented since the global launch of Crimson Desert to highlight the expansion of the gameplay experience.

Since launching Crimson Desert globally on March 20 (KST), Pearl Abyss has actively incorporated user feedback through a total of 17 updates. Based on this, the developer has introduced over 20 new pieces of content and features, along with more than 120 new pets and mounts. Additionally, the game’s overall environment has been enriched with the addition of over 70 new outfits, equipment, and items.

A wide range of features to enhance the combat system has also been introduced. Functions such as 'Boss Rematch' and 'Re-blockade' have been added, allowing players to refine their skills and re-experience intense action and new challenges. Furthermore, difficulty setting options tailored to player preferences have been provided to broaden the range of choices.

To maximize immersion in open world exploration, the lineup of pets and mounts has been significantly expanded. In addition to new mounts like wolves and bears, the game now features 'Wyverns'—special mounts that players can raise and ride—offering a unique gameplay experience.

To strengthen character progression and collection elements, the equipment lineup has been diversified. New gear for 'Cliff,' 'Ungka,' and 'Demian,' as well as new 'Boss' equipment, have been added, allowing players to express their unique individuality. Customization has also been taken to the next level by expanding the range of equipment that can be dyed.

Beyond these additions, the team has continuously worked to improve convenience and visual polish through control customization, UI enhancements, and improved long-distance rendering quality. The game also supports 'cross-save' functionality, allowing players to continue their journey through 'Pywell' with the same character across different platforms.

This rapid pace of system patching and continuous updates is being hailed as an exceptional case for a single player game, garnering global acclaim. Crimson Desert currently holds a 88 user score on Metacritic and maintains a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam from users across 13 languages, including English, German, Spanish, and French.
