Driven by rapid revenue growth in the MapleStory franchise and the global success of its new title ARC Raiders, Nexon significantly exceeded its Q2 2026 forecast, setting record-high cumulative performance for the first half of the year.
NEXON Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Jung-hun) announced its consolidated financial results for Q2 and H1 2026 via the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange on August 13, delivering remarkable performance following the previous quarter. In particular, Q2 revenue, operating profit, and net income all significantly outperformed market expectations, driving cumulative revenue for the first half of 2026 to an all-time high.
Behind these record achievements were the overwhelming revenue growth of the MapleStory franchise and the successful global launch of the new title ARC Raiders. Nexon's overall MapleStory IP revenue in Q2 surged 63% year-over-year, setting a quarterly record. For the original PC game, MapleStory, the major Summer Update launched in June targeting both domestic and Western players was a huge success, with Q2 revenue rising by 7% year-over-year in both regions.
The performance of the mobile segment and platform business was also standout. The mobile game MapleStory: Idle RPG generated massive revenue across major overseas markets, including North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, bolstered by the major half-anniversary update applied in late April. Furthermore, the sandbox creation platform MapleStory Worlds created a massive hit in Korea and Taiwan, achieving a remarkable 123% year-over-year surge in Q2 revenue.
Explosive sales of ARC Raiders, which debuted in October last year, also heavily drove overall performance. Easily surpassing 16.3 million cumulative global sales within just nine months of official release, it firmly established itself as Nexon's next-generation blockbuster in the global PC and console market—a space previously dominated by a handful of major franchises. Driven by the strong performance of these core titles, Nexon's H1 overseas revenue increased 44% year-over-year, while PC and console revenue jumped 27%, with both reaching half-year record highs.
Starting in the second half of this year, Nexon plans to maximize its growth momentum by launching a diverse lineup of internally developed titles and new published games. Dave the Diver Mobile, which proved its popularity in China early this year, will expand its service worldwide, including Korea, in September. In Q4, Nexon will officially launch Mabinogi Mobile in Japan and soon announce the global service regions for the mobile idle RPG Dungeon & Fighter: Idle RPG. Additionally, new published titles such as Overgeared and the fantasy world RPG Azur Promilia are in final preparations with target releases within the year.
To sustain strong long-term growth momentum, Nexon also plans to sequentially introduce various new titles to global players, including the 2D action RPG Dungeon & Fighter Classic, the action RPG Vindictus: Defying Fate, and the multiplayer survival game NAKWON: LAST PARADISE. Meanwhile, to execute an active shareholder return policy, Nexon will meet market expectations by implementing a massive special dividend of 324 billion yen (approx. 3 trillion won) in late September.
Lee Jung-hun, CEO of Nexon's Japanese entity, said, "We recorded solid results in Q2 thanks to strong growth in the MapleStory franchise and steady contributions from ARC Raiders. Starting in the second half, we will diversify our pipeline through new titles across various genres and the expansion of steady-seller IPs, while strengthening our growth engines through large-scale updates for core titles."
