S-GAME's new title, 'Phantom Blade Zero,' has reached the number one spot in total sales on Steam.
On the 12nd, S-GAME released a 11-minute gameplay video via the official Phantom Blade Zero YouTube Channel. The video showcased new gameplay and features, coinciding with the launch of official pre-orders. The game achieved the feat of topping the Steam sales chart in just one day.
Additionally, a 'State of Play' broadcast has been announced, which will provide a closer look at Phantom Blade Zero just before its release. This State of Play, focused on Phantom Blade Zero, is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, at 11:00 AM (KST).
'Phantom Blade Zero' follows the story of a protagonist who, framed for murder and suffering a fatal wound to the heart, has only 66 days left to live. As they fight a lonely battle for survival, they set out to uncover a conspiracy while traversing the martial arts world, embarking on a journey to find their true self and the truth amidst a web of rain and blood, grace and vengeance, and love and hate. Set in a mysterious and bizarre 'Phantom Realm' stained by light and shadow, the game unfolds a series of interconnected secrets and strange tales, including the Flower of Memory, the inner and outer workings of the martial arts world, modifications filled with killing intent, the Holy Mother, and the Dream of the Void.
In combat, where a weapon is synonymous with life, players can wield over thirty types of primary weapons and twenty bizarre phantom weapons. Based on sect-specific martial arts, the game features seamless, fluid combos; while easy to pick up, the profound principles within are difficult to master, and only true experts can sense the deep killing intent hidden within. In battles where blades clash and sparks fly, victory is decided in a split second through a rapid exchange of attacks, dodges, parries, and counters.
The game blends classic elements from the golden age of martial arts cinema with steampunk fantasy. It showcases action that fuses martial arts techniques and cold weapons with mechanical prosthetics, industrial-era remnants, classic Chinese aesthetics, and modern rock music. Built on Unreal Engine 5 and the latest motion capture technology, the game features contributions from industry-leading martial arts film directors, who helped craft every movement and skill based on real-life combat, delivering a cinematic experience.
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for official release on October 29 for PC (Steam, Epic Games) and PS5, with pre-orders having opened on the 12nd. Further details can be found on the official Steam page.
