Pearl Abyss' open world adventure game 'Crimson Desert' has recorded the highest Steam revenue among all new intellectual properties (IPs) released in 2026.

According to a recent report by global market research firm 'Alinea Analytics,' Crimson Desert has generated over $190 million in revenue on Steam since its launch in March.

It ranks third in total revenue among all games released on Steam in 2026, following 'Forza Horizon 6' and 'Resident Evil Requiem.' Crimson Desert is the only new IP in the top five. Alinea Analytics noted that since most top-ranking games are sequels to existing franchises, "the achievement of Crimson Desert as a new IP is all the more significant."

The success of Crimson Desert is further underscored by its high sales volume in a fiercely competitive global market, all while maintaining its full price (the standard retail price without discounts or promotions) since launch.

Crimson Desert sold 2 million copies on its first day, reached 5 million copies in less than a month, and hit 6 million copies sold within 83 days. Built on the proprietary 'BlackSpace Engine,' the game has proven its competitiveness in the global console market.
