The launch of Hound 13's open world action RPG, 'Dragon Sword: Awakening,' has been delayed.

Hound 13 had originally announced a release time of 7:00 AM KST on July 23. However, at 6:00 AM today, the company announced that it would be unable to release the game as scheduled because the app review process on Steam had not yet been completed. In the announcement, Producer Jang Yoon-jin offered a sincere apology to those who had been waiting for the game, stating, "I sincerely apologize for not being able to present the game on the scheduled date," and promised to provide an update as soon as a new release date is confirmed.

In a phone call with INVEN, a representative from Hound 13 explained, "We addressed the requirements requested by Steam in consideration of the launch schedule and submitted the app for final review on the 15th, but we were unable to meet the intended release time." They added, "We are currently waiting for the final review results. We will do our best to release the game as soon as the review is complete."

Meanwhile, Dragon Sword: Awakening is being re-released as a package version following the termination of a publishing agreement with Webzen, through which it had been offered as a live service version last January. Regarding this, Webzen had filed an injunction with the court to block the self-published release, but the Seoul Central District Court dismissed the request on the 22nd. Hound 13 added that with the injunction-related issues resolved, they are focusing on the normal release of the game.

The new release time for Dragon Sword: Awakening will be announced later via the game's Steam page.
