With the sweltering heat and sudden downpours lately, Battlefield 6 is adding a new map, Tsuru Reef, for those who want to enjoy a cool, refreshing getaway from the comfort of their own room. As long as you have air conditioning, you're already there. Tsuru Reef is a Pacific island featuring steep cliffs, clusters of small islands, luxury resorts, and the remnants of old war bunkers. We had the chance to experience the Tsuru Reef map on July 21, ahead of the start of Season 4 in Battlefield 6.
'Tsuru Reef': A Map Full of Refreshment and Cool Vibes'

As the saying goes, 'a feast for the eyes is a feast for the soul,' and the Tsuru Reef map is a visual delight. Whether you're crossing the coastline in the new RHIB boat or soaring through the skies in a fighter jet, the map's refreshing vibe makes you wonder if you're on a vacation or a battlefield. It feels like something straight out of an ion drink commercial.
Beyond the visuals, the map offers a unique twist on combat. In addition to the usual tanks, jets, and helicopters, the use of boats for infiltration and engagement means that land, sea, and air are all part of the tactical equation. The diverse combat ecosystem—bullets flying from the sea toward the islands, firepower raining down from the sky—creates a fresh, immersive experience.
Three New Weapons Added to Spice Up Combat!

Three new weapons will be added at the start of Season 4: the EF88, specialized for close and long-range combat; the BREN3 Carbine, which packs a punch in mid-range engagements; and the VSSM, a DMR better known as the AS VAL. When I tested them on the server, I personally found the BREN3 Carbine and VSSM to be a great fit. The VSSM, in particular, was a standout because its integrated suppressor allows you to pressure enemies without revealing your position.
Furthermore, thanks to repeated patches, the movement and bullet spread feel much more stable and comfortable compared to the start of the season, which left me with a very positive impression of the shooting mechanics.
Tsuru Reef Is Just the Beginning—'Top Gun' Collab Is Coming!

The new Season 4 map, Spearhead, certainly delivers the scale Battlefield players have been craving, along with exhilarating combat. The map’s refreshing atmosphere, combined with the smoother gunplay refined through recent feedback, creates a synergy that naturally reminds you why Battlefield is the gold standard for large-scale warfare.
Season 4 doesn't stop there. On August 18, a collaboration with the famous film 'Top Gun' will launch, adding the Carrier Strike mode—where you must destroy enemy aircraft carriers—to showcase the true majesty of all-out war. Given the intensity of the combat on Tsuru Reef, this is something to look forward to. Battlefield 6 Season 4, featuring the new Tsuru Reef map, Wake Island, the Top Gun collaboration, and various new weapons, is set to begin on July 21.
