'Mimesis,' developed by KRAFTON subsidiary RELU Games, has surpassed 2 million units in cumulative global sales.
Mimesis previously reached 1 million units in cumulative global sales just 50 days after its early access launch last October. Following an update in June that enhanced the AI Monster's decision-making systems, restructured game progression, and expanded content based on user feedback, the game has now crossed the 2-million-unit milestone.
'Mimesis' is a cooperative horror game that centers on artificial intelligence as its core gameplay element. Set in a world where a mysterious rain causes humans to mutate into 'Mimesis'—creatures that replicate the voices and behaviors of others—players must survive amidst extreme tension where cooperation and distrust collide.
The game revolves around a tram, with gameplay focused on resource gathering and maintenance. The uncertainty that any teammate could be a Mimesis at any moment maximizes the horror. The game's AI Monster learns from players' real-time voice and movement to infiltrate the group, creating a constant sense of tension.
More details about Mimesis can be found on its Steam page. The game is currently available to play in early access.
