The Deporoju server is home to many streamers, including legendary veterans of Lineage. Today's protagonist is 'Wonjae,' a player known as the embodiment of the Elf class and a master tactician on the battlefield.

After leading the alliance to capture three castles in the first Siege War by focusing on the Orc Fortress, Wonjae is now steeling himself for the second siege. Let’s hear from the man whom 'K,' the highest-level player in Lineage Classic and the Master of his Clan, considers his most trusted confidant.

Q. Hello. Could you please introduce yourself

" Hello. I’m Wonjae, a streamer who has been playing Lineage for 28 years. I currently serve as a Guardian for the TheK Clan on the Deporoju server. I work alongside Master K to manage clan members and coordinate our overall strategy.

Q. You participated in the first Siege War using a Master character and seemed to focus your operations around the Orc Fortress. What was your actual role during that first siege?

" Our alliance started planning for the Siege War two weeks in advance, and the core of our strategy was to eliminate as many variables as possible. Because we put in so much effort beforehand, the actual combat didn't escalate much, and it ended up being a fairly easy victory.

Our leadership and our allies held frequent meetings and prepared so thoroughly that I didn't have much to do personally.

Q. Given your reputation as the embodiment of the Elf class and a 'maestro of the battlefield,' I imagine you might have wanted to play as an Elf.

" Siege Wars have so many variables. I felt it was the right decision for me to take on the Master character and manage the operations.

Q. I understand you were the first on the server to craft the Moon Longbow following the recent update. With your ally 'Ttol-ki' also achieving +9 enhancement on the weapon, you are supplying high-performance equipment—are you considering participating as an Elf in this upcoming siege?

" As I mentioned, there are too many variables in a siege. While the Elf class itself is helpful, I don't believe the Moon Longbow will have a massive impact on the battlefield.

Also, a change applied to this siege is the addition of one gate to each castle. Rather than focusing on the Moon Longbow or playing as an Elf, I intend to discuss strategy with our alliance and focus on eliminating any new variables that may arise.

Q. As a Guardian of the TheK Clan, you were named by K—the top-ranked player across all servers—as the person he 'trusts and relies on most.' Having been together for so long, this must feel special

" I’ve known Master K since before he started streaming; he is the friend I trust and rely on most, both in-game and in real life. We have no secrets and are completely open with each other. I don't think I would have kept playing or taken the game seriously if it weren't for him. We’ve even agreed to play together until the day we die. (Laughs)

Q. Currently, the power balance on Deporoju is somewhat tilted, but as we saw on the Jou server, upsets can happen at any time. What investments is your alliance making to maintain control of the three castles?

" I believe mental fortitude and a long-term perspective are essential to maintaining control of the three castles. Our alliance is focusing heavily on this aspect.

There are some disappointing aspects, though. Looking at recent updates, the pace of change is too fast, and sometimes it feels more like 'Lineage 3' than Classic. I think what we want is the nostalgia we felt when we were younger. If they could stop changing so many things and just focus on catching abnormal users like botters, it would really help heal the mental state of those who love Lineage Classic.

Q. The second Siege War is about to begin. Could you share your resolve for the next siege and a word for your fans

" With even more variables now, no one knows what will happen until the siege is over. I will coordinate with our alliance and do my best to prevent any unexpected events, but the result is only known once it's over.

Still, I believe we were able to achieve this because of the fans who have supported us since the beginning, as well as the hard work of our clan members and allies. For their sake, I will stay sharp and do my best to ensure we maintain control of the three castles in the second siege.
