Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse announced on the 22nd that it will conduct a closed 'Evolution Test' for its first Anima-raising adventure strategy game, Honkai: Nexus Anima, on July 9 across PC, Android, and iOS platforms.

This Evolution Test is a limited-access, non-paying, data-wiping closed beta. Starting today, users can apply by completing a survey on the official website. Final testers will be selected via a lottery from among those who have completed pre-registration and submitted the survey.

Honkai: Nexus Anima is a new entry in the Honkai series, centered on stories woven through bonds, communion with mysterious creatures known as Nexus Anima, and strategic battles and exploration.

In the game's world, 'bonds' once served as a medium connecting opposing concepts—such as love and hate, light and darkness, or reality and illusion. However, after the 'Honkai' event, these shattered fragments of bonds were reborn as Nexus Anima, creatures imbued with elemental energy.

Players will form bonds with Anima in various ways, utilizing their elemental powers to make strategic choices in battle while exploring a vast, unknown world.

Players will take on the role of an avatar of a dimensional traveler, recently freed from long-term confinement, and begin a new adventure starting from the village of Iya in the reality dimension. The test will feature core gameplay, story elements, new characters and Anima, as well as new regions and diverse content.

Anima evolution is one of the most mysterious phenomena across all dimensions. During their adventures, players can meet and bond with Anima, give them names, capture special moments in photos, and even encounter rare Chroma Anima.

Iya Village, the starting point of the adventure, will be unveiled in a more polished state for this test. Players can catch glimpses of vibrant daily life throughout the village, from the bustling streets of the Newtown district to unique commercial spaces and landmarks.

Additionally, players can visit key locations such as the Bond Hall and the True Nexus Group building to interact with central figures from different factions and uncover hidden truths alongside new companions like Nanafei, Bai Mei, and Olympia.
