'Splatoon Raiders,' the first spin-off in the Splatoon series, is set to launch on July 23. Further details will be revealed during a dedicated Nintendo Direct on June 30.

Nintendo showcased new gameplay footage for Splatoon Raiders during a Nintendo Direct on the 9th. Unlike the original Splatoon series, which focuses on multiplayer battles, this first spin-off is a story-driven single-player game. Set in the Salt-Stony Archipelago, an uncharted region far from the city, players take on the role of a young, skilled 'Mechanic' who explores the islands in search of treasure.

However, as players approach the treasure, they are immediately attacked by the aggressive Salmonids that have occupied the islands. One of the primary ways to combat these enemies is the Survey Mecha. When the Deep Cut trio boards the mecha, it can automatically attack enemies or act as a jump pad; at times, they can even leap out of the mecha to unleash powerful special techniques. There are also various types of gadgets, which can be leveled up through repeated combat to become increasingly powerful.

A collaborative event has also been prepared for existing Splatoon players. A special Splatoon 3 festival featuring a collaboration with Splatoon Raiders will be held in July. Additionally, new color-variant Joy-Cons will be released on the same day as the game.

Splatoon Raiders will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. A 'Splatoon Raiders Nintendo Direct' providing more detailed information about the game is scheduled for June 30.
