The Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (BIC 2026), a global indie game celebration, unveiled its official key visual on the 12th, highlighting the event's theme for this year.

This year's slogan, 'Buff Your Indie Spirit,' signifies the process by which the creative energy of indie game developers meets gamers to expand into new possibilities. The key visual is set within the 'UNIVERSE-INDIE' world, depicting the moment the 'indie spirit' is 'buffed' through three distinct symbols.

'Discovery,' represented by a four-leaf clover motif, expresses the good fortune of finding gem-like indie games among countless titles. 'Connection,' depicted by interlocking circular nodes, symbolizes the strong bond between developers and gamers. The visual also captures 'Growth,' represented by energy radiating outward to signify the expansion of possibilities for indie games.

Joo Sung-pil, Chairman of the BIC Organizing Committee, stated, "We are preparing a variety of programs to ensure that BIC 2026 serves as the ultimate stage where the indie spirit can truly thrive."

The event will be held in a hybrid format, encompassing both online and offline components. The offline festival will take place from Friday, August 14, to Sunday, August 16, at Hall 2 of BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 in Busan, while the online festival will run for 22 days, from Friday, August 7, to Friday, August 28.
