Krafton's creative studio 5minlab (CEO Park Moon-hyung) announced that its new mobile game, 'Overgeared Hero,' has surpassed 500k global pre-registrations.

'Overgeared Hero' is a roguelike collectible strategy RPG where the player's item placement and combination strategies directly impact combat outcomes. It offers the fun of collecting, merging, and arranging various equipment and items to build unique combat loadouts, providing a diverse gameplay experience based on the characteristics of each class.

A key differentiator of the game is its 'inventory is power' system. The core challenge lies in efficiently organizing items of varying rarity and shapes within a limited inventory space. Once strategic combinations of equipment, pets, and characters are set, combat proceeds automatically, with each session designed to last around five minutes, offering fast-paced enjoyment.

5minlab is currently accepting pre-registrations via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, with an official global launch scheduled for May 26 in major regions, including South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, and Japan. The game has already generated positive buzz during its soft launch in select overseas markets.

A collaboration event is also underway to celebrate reaching 500k pre-registrations. 5minlab's real-time PvP action game, 'Smash Legends,' is hosting an 'Overgeared Hero' pre-registration collaboration event until May 19. All participants will receive various rewards, including 'Overgeared Hero' app icons, character icons, and credits. Additionally, as a milestone reward for hitting 500k pre-registrations, 500 gems will be sent to players' in-game mailboxes.
